Why GynaGuard products?

I’ve always been told my vagina is self-cleaning and water is the only thing that should go “down there” - So why should I use a specially formulated product?  Several factors can cause a pH imbalance, which can lead to an overgrowth of bacteria or yeasts that cause vaginal infections. That’s why you want to make sure you use a product, like GynaGuard Essential Intimate Wash, that is specifically made to take care of your vagina and support a healthy, ideal pH balance.

Why should I use sanitary wipes?

Sanitary wipes help to keep you cleansed, soothed and refreshed throughout the day. Wipes like GynaGuard Sensitive Wipes, with cranberry extract and Vitamin E, even help support your vagina’s ideal pH balance, and are individually wrapped to protect against contamination. Just pop some in your pocket or bag for on-the-go confidence.

What makes GynaGuard Foam Bath different from any other bubble bath?

Ordinary bubble baths can upset the pH balance of your vagina, leading to irritation. If you’re like most women who would love to soak in a bubble bath but just can’t, the good news is GynaGuard Foam Bath is gentle on your V-zone so that you can enjoy a bubble bath whenever you want.

About pH balance

I keep hearing about needing to maintain my vagina’s pH balance. What is pH balance? pH is a scale of acidity or alkalinity. It’s measured on a range from 0 to 14, with a pH lower than 7 considered to be acidic and a pH higher than 7 considered alkaline.

What is the ideal pH balance for my vagina?

A slightly acidic vagina is the perfect environment for the types of good bacteria that help keep your vagina clean and healthy – a pH between 3.8 and 4.5 is ideal. Most harmful bacteria have a hard time surviving in this acidic environment. Keeping those harmful bacteria at bay is not only important for general hygiene and comfort, but also helps avoid infection and diseases.

How do I make sure my vagina’s pH balance is always ideal?

A healthy vagina contains both good and bad bacteria. Usually, the good bacteria outshine the bad, helping to maintain an ideal balance. Unfortunately, things like contraceptives, vaginal medications, stress, sexual intercourse and antibiotics can unsettle the vaginal pH balance and cause the bad bacteria to outgrow the healthy bacteria, increasing the risk of infection.

Feminine Hygiene 101

Why can’t I just use normal soap to wash my vagina? Soap is a big no-no for your intimate areas. The ingredients in many bath soaps are very alkaline and upset the pH balance, which can cause vaginal irritation. You’ll know when it starts to itch or smell unpleasant.

How do I use GynaGuard Intimate Washes?

GynaGuard Intimate Washes can be used daily in the shower or bath. Apply small amount of wash and massage gently onto the outer area of your vulva until it reaches a lather. Wash the area gently and rinse with clean water.

V-zone Troubleshooting

When I’m on my period, I don’t always feel that clean and fresh. Do you have any advice as to what I could use to remedy this? GynaGuard’s Sensitive Wipes are also gentle enough to use on the go throughout the day to keep you fresh & confident. I often seem to get discomfort and irritation after making love. It’s starting to make me want to abstain from all bedroom activities. Did you know that a man’s sperm has a higher pH level than a woman’s intimate areas? That’s why GynaGuard Lubricating Moisturising Gel is non-sticky, non-greasy and ideally formulated to balance your vagina’s pH, whilst soothing irritation and combating dryness.
